Holloween was Oct 31. It is about ghost, goblins, and things that go bump in the night. I wanted to write something in the theme of Holloween. It is called ‘Beating Heart’.

I can hear my heart beating
It is racing

I hear the sound of my breathing as I inhaled

I know the end is near.
I feel it deep inside of me.

It is stiring and it won’t be long.

I see visions of the past.
Images that please my senses

I feel my body freeze. Motionless.

All my muscle tightens and tenses up
Beads of sweat appear on my body.

For what seems like an eternity, I lay there frozen in time.

I can not do anything but lay there

My body quivers

As warm liquids continue to splatter on my chest.

The end has arrived

It encloses every fiber of my body

Contentment fills my mind.

It is all over

It is done
